After last week’s ugly win over Tampa Bay, Earl Thomas was ready to wash his hands of that contest and move on.

Apparently, so were the rest of the Seahawks, who pounded Atlanta 33-10 to move to 9-1 for the first time in franchise history.

Head coach Pete Carroll called it the “best game (Seattle has) played.”

Receiver Golden Tate echoed those sentiments, saying the Hawks had finally found their blueprint going forward.

“We’re excited for the future. We have something special,” Tate said. “Now we’ve set the standard and we want to consistently play this sort of ballgame.”

Earl had one tackle and a pass defended, while the Seahawk defense held the Falcons to just 226 total yards and kept them out of the end zone until late in the third quarter.

Meanwhile, the Seattle offense flirted with 500 total yards, as Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson both had big days.
