When all had been said, played and done Sunday, it was the team who had the ball last that emerged victorious.

Earl Thomas and the Seattle Seahawks took the lead late in the fourth quarter at Candlestick Park, but the San Francisco 49ers’ final drive gave them a field goal and a 19-17 victory.

No. 29 played the entire game in a single safety role, and San Francisco wisely stayed away from him. He finished with four tackles.

Despite the outcome, ET had no questions about who the better team was afterward. As he told SeattleSeahawks.com:

“We had them, then we let them off the leash. We had them, then we let them off again…We gave them this game, and they know it. They just capitalized off our mistakes, and that’s what good teams do.”
