Earl Thomas wasn’t directly involved in the four turnovers forced by the Seattle defense Sunday, but he benefitted from the results just the same, enjoying a 41-20 victory over visiting Minnesota.

The play of the Seahawks’ defense proved crucial to the outcome as the Vikings outgained Seattle’s offense, 336-323.

The Hawks forced one fumble on Minnesota’s first drive, and intercepted quarterbacks Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel a total of three times.

Former Viking Percy Harvin made his debut for the Seahawks and turned in a 58-yard kickoff return that set up a Russell Wilson-Doug Baldwin connection for six just before the half.

That gave Seattle an 11-point lead at the break, which they would build on in the final frame to seal the victory.
