In a primetime Thursday night 34-22 win over Arizona that Seattle head coach Pete Carroll described as “cool,” Earl Thomas was involved in the coolest play of the game

Carson Palmer was looking for star receiver Larry Fitzgerald down the sideline, but Seattle’s Brandon Browner knocked the ball loose. ETIII dove in.

Incredibly, he snatched the ball just before it hit the turf before bouncing his way out of bounds. (Watch the play by clicking the image above.) The play was originally called incomplete, but was reviewed to give No. 29 the interception.

On the next possession, Russell Wilson hit Zach Miller on a 15-yard touchdown strike to give the Seahawks a 14-0 lead.

Arizona battled back briefly, but Wilson and Marshawn Lynch buried them under 31 points before the end of the third quarter.

In the final frame, the Hawks held on to win 34-22. The Cardinals gained just 234 total yards, as ET logged six tackles along with his interception.

Afterward, Earl told Seahawks.com that the defensive line deserved a lot of credit for the win.

“The pass rush was crazy tonight,” Thomas said. “You can’t ask for anything better than that. Those guys have done a great job all season in the run game and also rushing the passer.”
