It might be the NFL offseason, but Earl Thomas’ work is just getting started.
Driven to give back to his community, No. 29 launched the Earl Thomas Guardian Angel Foundation this past Thursday in his hometown of Orange, Texas.
“It’s the right time,” he said. “The more I grow, the more I search for new ideas on how to impact this community. With the momentum I have going I can impact both the athletic and educational systems at West Orange and Little Cypress.”
The launch event was held at Granger Chevrolet, and the car dealership made the first donation to the foundation, a moment that was captured on Twitter.

Earl, I told you a while ago that you were born for great things. You listen to me with a twinkle in your eyes, and I new it was destinies cry. You are chosen to lead, God has blessed you with the heart of a Lion and the determination to succeed. May your light shine brightly so the world can take notes on how to be a man, a real leader of your community. Speaking of 29, I was surprised to read that Browner is only 29, I’m so glad he got re-instated and if he doesn’t sign w/ Seattle, tell him to check out Green Bay. It’s a perfect place to get back into the swing of things after any off-the-field stuff, there are fewer distractions and all that. I’d love to see him back there with Tramon. I remember Koren Robinson had a very nice comeback to the NFL when the Pack gave him a second chance.
