Earl Thomas III has always been adamant that he never would’ve made it to the NFL without the people in his hometown of Orange, Texas.

So for the fifth straight year, the Seattle Seahawks safety is giving back to the community that raised him, holding his fifth annual football camp—free for youth athletes age 6-18.

“He always says, ‘Mom, I will never turn a kid away,'” said Earl’s mother, Debbie. “He has such a giving heart, and he wants to give back.”

The two-day camp will run from 8 a.m. to Noon on June 24-25 at West Orange-Stark High School. Pre-registration was held for the camp in April, and those who have pre-registered can pick up their t-shirts on Thursday, June 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school.

However, those who did not pre-register but are still hoping to attend the camp can register the day of.

Earl just finished up helping out with fellow Texas Longhorn and current Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles’ camp in Port Arthur this past weekend, and Charles hopes to be among the NFL players in attendance to help out at Camp ET.

Charles, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor and Marshawn Lynch were among the professionals at Earl’s camp last year, along with more than 1,000 campers.

“It fills my heart with pure joy and excitement for these kids,” Earl said. “For them to get to step on the same grass as some of the greats who are out here, it’s just a blessing. You never know what you’re capable of, but as long as you have that vision, it’s supernatural.”
