For the second straight year, Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas III took some time during his offseason to visit one of his favorite local business, and what he calls his second family at Sellen Construction.

Sellen held its annual meeting at Seattle’s historic Cinerama theater on Tuesday night and upwards of 500 employees were in attendance as ET III doled out his famous “Free Safety Advice.”

A staple in the Seattle community, Sellen is also the largest locally owned commercial construction firm in the Northwest. Its portfolio includes University of Washington’s Quadrangle, the Seattle Children’s Hospital and much more. And of course, with the nature of its business, safety is key to Sellen.

“Safety is at the core of our company’s culture,” reads Sellen’s official website. “We recognize that policies don’t ensure a safe work environment – people do. Our focus is on the human side of safety. We’ve worked hard to spread the message among our employees and subcontractors that safety is first in all we do.”

That made four-time All-Pro safety Earl Thomas a natural pick for a guest speaker at the annual meeting.

Earl was welcomed on stage by Sellen CEO Bob McCluskey, and after speaking to the crowd, ET met individually and took photos with each Sellen employee.

Earl enjoyed speaking and meeting with Sellen employees, and giving back his time to the 12s who support he and the Seahawks all year long in Seattle.
